Custom Configuration
batapp supports two types of custom configuration: custom statuses and custom fields. Neither is self-service — both are set up by the batapp team on request.
Custom Statuses
Enterprise feature. Custom statuses are available on the Enterprise plan only.
Replace the default statuses (Available, Out on Loan, Out for Repair, Disposed) with statuses that match your workflow.
Each custom status has a name, an icon, and defined transitions — which statuses an asset can move to from that status.
Example
A hospital equipment workflow might use:

When a user changes an asset's status, only valid transitions are shown.

Custom Fields
Add your own fields to the asset form. Custom fields appear on the Details tab alongside the standard fields.
Field Types

| Boolean | Insured, under warranty |
Custom fields are available as columns in both CSV exports and PDF reports.

Legacy Custom Fields
batapp has three built-in custom fields (custom1, custom2, custom3) from earlier versions. These still work but are limited compared to dynamic custom fields.
